We sometimes get questions about whether it's safe to link your accounts and share your data with Surveyz, so we've put together this summary to explain how we ensure your account and data is safe.

Account connections are facilitated via Consumer Data Right (CDR), powered by Mastercard Open Banking. This means that you are in control of the the data you share with Surveyz.
Surveyz has read-only access to the information you choose to share.
We cannot transact, move, or alter any funds in your account.
All data is encrypted and protected under strict Australian Government CDR regulation and we are compliant with the privacy act.
You remain in control — you can revoke access at any time through your Surveyz account.
How we link your accounts
We use Open Banking, also known as the Consumer Data Right (CDR), to securely link your spending accounts. This new technology gives you full control over who can access your financial data and for what purpose. Through our partnership with Mastercard, you can safely connect your accounts directly from your bank using their trusted, government-accredited CDR connection.
We cannot transact with your account
When you link your accounts, that allows us to establish a secure connection with your institution to fetch data in a read-only format. We cannot login to your account or transact on your behalf.

For existing members that connected their accounts with Surveyz prior to December 2025 and who have not relinked their accounts via CDR, account connection is enabled via Illion or Basiq, leading Australian Financial service providers with connections to >150 financial institutions in Australia. Whether account connection is via CDR powered by Mastercard Open Banking, Illion or Basiq - in all cases we adhere to extremely strict security practices and systems, ensuring your data is safe and secure at all times.
